Accessibility Statement
We target WCAG 2.1 Level AA and work to make Motion Screener usable by everyone, including users of assistive technology.
1. Our commitment
Motion Screener is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. We treat accessibility as a baseline for the product, not a feature.
2. What we do today
- Keyboard navigation. All interactive elements are reachable and operable with a keyboard. We provide visible focus indicators.
- Skip-to-content links. Each page has a “Skip to main content” link that surfaces on focus.
- Semantic structure. Pages use proper landmark elements (
main, nav, aside, footer) and a singleh1per page. - ARIA labels. Modals, panels, and live regions carry appropriate roles and labels.
- Color contrast. We target a minimum 4.5:1 contrast ratio for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI controls.
- Reduced motion. We honor the
prefers-reduced-motionmedia query for users sensitive to motion. - No-JavaScript fallbacks. Legal and policy pages are static HTML and render without JavaScript.
3. Known limitations
We are honest about what we have not yet completed:
- The Hawkes forensics panel renders a dense numerical matrix without simplified summarization. We plan to add a textual summary for screen-reader users.
- Some terminal-style sparkline charts have no accessible-text equivalent yet. Tabular data versions are on the roadmap.
- The crypto top-up modal shows deposit addresses as both code and QR; the QR is not announced separately because the address itself is the canonical input. We will add an explicit announcement.
4. Assistive technology we test against
- VoiceOver on macOS (Safari) and iOS (Safari)
- NVDA on Windows (Firefox, Chrome)
- Keyboard-only navigation across all major browsers
5. Report a barrier
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us so we can fix it. Send the URL, a brief description, and your assistive technology to accessibility@motionscreener.com. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to prioritize fixes by severity.
6. Conformance status
Motion Screener is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means some content does not yet fully conform — see “Known limitations” above — while the bulk of the Service meets the standard.
7. Standards we reference
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Levels A and AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium.
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as it applies to public-accommodation websites.
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, for compatibility considerations.
